Are You A Veteran Suffering From Hearing Loss?
Hear4U has worked with the UK Veterans Hearing Help, now the UK Veterans Hearing Foundation, for 3 rewarding years. We support our local Veterans from our three shops covering the Leicestershire, Warwickshire and Northamptonshire area, also providing FREE home visits to our Veterans who are unable to commute themselves.
We support the whole process from advertising the charity, speaking to veterans who need support within our audiology clinics, completing full audiology and case history, the recommendation of hearing aids, fitting the hearing aids and offering an excellent aftercare service.
Who runs Hear4U?
Tyler-Jayne Bennett Director and General Manager of Hear4U/BHHC loves working alongside this foundation. She has given support with creating protocols and procedures with which have created high levels of standard for diagnosis, case recording, fitting and aftercare. This means all veterans within the UK will receive a five star service from beginning to end.
“It has been a great pleasure and I have personally loved watching it grow to the charity it is today.” – Tyler Bennett
What does Hear4U think of the UK Veterans Hearing Foundation?
The admin team and Business Development Manager Chloe is extremely helpful, supportive and nothing is too much for the UKVHF and supporting businesses like Hear4U. UK Veterans Hearing Foundation work with all of the top manufactures within our industry. When we see a veteran we are able to recommend a hearing aid that is right for them, without feeling pressured into using a manufacturer we may not usually use.
We also have the knowledge, training and equipment to fit to the highest standard possible, we look forward to what the future holds with the UK Veterans Hearing Foundation and cannot wait to continue supporting.
Our Favourite Success Story
“Another wonderful story about one of the veterans we had the pleasure of helping! Mr Chesworth started sent in his application in 2018 and has gone through it over the past two years with UKVHH. Mr Chesworth joined the Army in 1979 to 1994 in the 5 royal Anglian regiments he had a lot of noise exposure during his time in service.
He was exposed to gunfire, mortar firing and the drums during his military service.
On testing, it was found that Mr Chesworth has bilateral mild to moderate-severe sensorineural hearing loss. His uncomfortable loudness levels are within the normal range. Teral mild to moderately severe sensorineural hearing loss. His uncomfortable loudness levels are also within a normal range.
Mr Chesworth had NHS hearing aids. However, he could not wear them as he found the sounds ‘terrible’ from the hearing aids. Mr Chesworth struggled with the daily activities due to his hearing difficulties. He was fitted with fully funded top of the range hearing aids on the 5th March 2020 by Rosie Dooley, an audiologist at Hear4U Rothwell.
‘I have been getting on with my new hearing aids marvellously. I could hear the birds singing when I left the shop after my hearing aid fitting and was far safer on the road as I was more aware of where the traffic was. My wife and I can watch the television together at the same volume and I don’t even need to take my phone out of my pocket to answer phone calls as my hearing aids are connected!’
