Nottingham Forest Community Trust are committed to supporting Nottinghamshire Veterans to lead a more healthy and connected life through a range of open access physical and social activities that brings Veterans and support services together.
Supporting Veterans
We currently hold the Ministry of Defence Employer Recognition Scheme – Silver Award, recognising the outstanding transferable skills that ex-service personnel can bring to organisations like ourselves.
We host regular coffee and breakfast mornings at The City Ground for Veterans to get together and socialise, along with weekly walking football training sessions at The Forest Sports Zone for over 50’s as part of our Nottingham Forest Walking Football programme.

UK Veterans Hearing Help (now the UK Veterans Hearing Foundation) received the Bronze Award in the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme in 2016, in 2019 we achieved Silver level and in 2020 we achieved the highest level Gold. The scheme provides an award for organisations that pledge, demonstrate or advocate support to defence and armed forces community.
