What Is Bone Conduction?

A bone conduction hearing device is an alternative to a regular hearing aid for those with problems in their outer or middle ears. It transfers sound by bone vibration directly to the cochlea, bypassing the outer and the middle ear. This means it is useful for conductive and mixed hearing losses. A bone conduction hearing device relies on a working cochlea to send sound to the brain.

Autel BetaFlex Extend & POWER

Beta Flex Extend is the new bone conduction hearing aid that combines the performance of Autel Flex devices and an innovative telescopic extension system which makes fitting to the patient’s head incredibly easy.

The new range of Beta Flex Extends bone conduction hearing aid spectacles is equipped with an innovative telescopic system, which thanks to a simple sliding and consecutive fastening mechanism allows easy and quick fitting of the spectacles to the patient.

The unlimited attachment points mean unlimited advantages of the patient’s comfort and performance of the hearing aid. As with all BetaFlex products, Extend is provided with the innovative technology of the Autel terminal that, thanks to a cold shaping process, allows a perfect adherence of the device to the patient’s mastoid with a superior sound performance.

POWER: The Power version of the hearing aid makes the signal significantly stronger to cover more types of conductive hearing loss treatable by bone conduction.

Puretone Bone Conduction Hearing Systems

Headband Static, Adjustable and Softband are designed to fit comfortably around the head, with the bone conduction unit on the inside of the headband, and the hearing aid on the outside. The microphone picks up the ambient sound which is then amplified to a level controlled by the user-adjustable volume control. These systems are also available with an optional battery tray child lock.

Headband standard and adjustable: The headband bone conductor is a comfortable and lightweight bone conduction hearing instrument using a special metal Alice Band.

Softband: Available in a choice of colours, the Softband bone conductor is designed as a soft alternative to the headband bone conductor, it features a comfortable fabric band that sits around the head and is especially suitable for paediatrics.
