Army Veteran Successfully Fitted!

Mr Newell served for 9 years in the Royal Military Police and his hearing was damaged using a pipe range for weapon firing consistency whilst on a two year tour to Northern Ireland. He was also during my career exposed to weapons being fired rifle / pistol/ machine gun but the cause was identified as being pipe ranges, basically firing within a cylinder pipe.

He finds background noise very frustrating and distracting, he attends a lot of meetings with his work and cannot always hear the full conversation and feels he could be missing important information. Mr Newell also struggles watching the television, he puts subtitles on to help him out a little bit but some programmes do not always have this available.

Hearing Assessment:

On testing it was found that Mr Newell has mild to moderately severe sensorineural hearing loss in his right ear and normal to severe sensorineural hearing loss in his left ear.

It was recommended for him to be fitted with binaural Phonak Audeo P90 Rechargeable hearing aids because it will provide Mr Newell with clear and rich sound. This technology will provide better speech understanding in noise and less listening effort, which will be beneficial for Mr Newell as he struggles to hear when in background noise. This platform also recognises, analyses and automatically adapts to precisely match more listening situations using its autosense feature. The hearing aids also have Binaural Voicestream technology for streaming the full audio bandwidth, which helps tackle challenging listening situations and provide improved sound quality, especially in a noisy environment, on the phone or when he cannot face the speaker.

The features in the Audeo Paradise 90 technology will help him in all his listening situations , especially work meetings.

These hearing aids can also connect to any Bluetooth enabled phone allowing Mr Newell to take hands free phone calls but with better sound quality.

Hi Chloe

I just want to reach out and say a massive thank you to you and your team.

My journey has been long over three and a half  years to date and finally I have a set of hearing aids.

They are simply brilliant !!!! I cannot believe the actual difference to the quality of my life they have made. From a long time of suffering in silence I am discovering sounds that I thought had vanished.

Music, birds and my wife !!! It’s amazing. So to anyone thinking about it without a doubt I would recommend you and the team who have been simply first class.

Thank you once again.

Jason Newell
